UplinkRobotics

UplinkRobotics creates high-quality and purpose built inspection tools for various industries, such as home inspectors, construction, firefighters, law enforcement and more.

Built to Go Where Others Can’t

Our crawlers are designed for real-world challenges—navigating tight crawlspaces, rugged terrain, and hazardous environments with precision and control. Whether inspecting foundations, pipes, or post-disaster sites, we help professionals see more, safer.

Helping You Inspect Smarter, Safer, and Faster

Our Mission

At UplinkRobotics, our mission is to build reliable crawler robots that extend human capability in the spaces that challenge it most. We design tools that reduce risk, save time, and improve visibility. Aiming to empower professionals to work smarter, safer, and more efficiently.

Our Vision

We envision a future where ground robotics are not limited to labs or sci-fi but are practical, essential tools across industries. From inspection to emergency response, we’re creating robots that fit seamlessly into workflows, expanding what’s possible in tight, dirty, or dangerous environments.

Our Story

Fall 2021

The Beginning

It started in a one-bedroom apartment in Laramie, Wyoming. Three full-time engineering students realized that if they wanted to stay in their home state after graduation, they’d have to create the kind of jobs they couldn’t find. So, they did.

Spring 2022

Fueling the Vision

Broke but determined, the team entered an entrepreneurship competition—pitching their early ideas and growing by one more member along the way. They walked away with first place and $30,000 in funding.

Summer 2022

Early Setbacks, New Direction

Like many startups, the first plan didn’t stick. Supply chain issues and manufacturing delays forced the team to let go of their initial “smart” crawler concept. Instead, they went back to basics—focusing on building inspection crawlers that were tough, functional, and field-ready.

Spring 2023

First Crawlers in the Wild

After months of redesigns and real-world testing, UplinkRobotics made its first sales. The Mink and the Marten crawlers were officially in the hands of customers. That’s when things really started moving.

Spring 2023

Summer 2023

Internships

UplinkRobotics launched paid internships for University of Wyoming students, giving them real-world engineering experience. From that group came the company’s first full-time hire, an electrical engineer.

Current Day

Inspired by the People Who Use Them

Our technology is shaped by the needs of the people who do the work.

Home inspectors, utility pros, emergency responders—they don’t operate in perfect spaces. They crawl under buildings, dig through rubble, and face risky conditions every day. That’s who we build for. Our crawlers are designed to go into those spaces and bring clarity, confidence, and control where it’s needed most.

Today, we’re combining practical expertise, a strong foundation in R&D, and a forward-thinking approach to bring reliable, field-ready robotics to market.

Crawlers Built for the Real World

The Wombat, our latest inspection crawler, is trusted by inspectors, contractors, and field professionals to take on demanding work in crawlspaces, subfloors, and other confined environments. Built for clarity and reliability, it provides the visibility needed to assess conditions safely and efficiently in places that are otherwise hard to reach. Rugged, durable, and field-ready, it is designed for jobs that require dependable access and clear results.

Our Legacy products The Marten and MK2 Pro, earned their reputation as reliable tools across industries and continue to stand as respected legacy products. The Wombat builds on that foundation with greater durability and performance, carrying forward the trust our users rely on while setting a new standard for what an inspection crawler can achieve.
